I’m interested in journalism, but mysteries and crime shows have always been my thing, so I was wondering if there is a type of reporting that deals specifically with homicide. I’ve heard of crime reporting, but that covers things from local robberies to drug possession.

Get your journalism or electronic journalism degree first. When you get a job with a news station or news paper you will have to report on whatever they ask you to. Do a great job on every story. One day you will get your chance and be given a homicide. When you blow them away with your skills you can request to get homicide preference.
