It’s execution day. The prisoner assaults or murders a visitor, witness, or guard. Do they go ahead with the scheduled execution? Do they delay the execution in order to prosecute the most recent crime? Or are there enough safeguards in place to prevent such a thing from ever happening?

Prosecutor’s office has told me the crime lab results of my mother’s homicide, could take up to two years to be returned. I understand there is only one lab that is responsible for all other cases and drug testing across the state, but there has to be a prioritization system, right? Plus, I live in Arkansas where homicides aren’t as common as the more populated states.

I’m just curious what task causes this process to take so long.

What crime one commits if he attacks a police officer?
What if the attack happens when the police officer is off duty?
Thank you everyone.
But I have to say I am not the stupid guy.

And I want to know whether the attacked officer has the right to shoot him down?

I’m writing a story where an 8 year old girl uses a small amount of explosives to get back at her bully, by ruining his things. But some of the bully’s things contained explosive substances. Since nearly half the (empty) school building was destoryed, and no one was hurt, what crime would that be. A.K.A on her criminal record or what the police would refer to it as.

My friend was caught comitting a crime six months ago by his ex-employer. They made him pay for the property he destroyed and told him to do 100 hours of community service. So far, he has not been keeping his end of the bargain with the community service due to other things taking up his time. How long does his ex-employer have to turn him in to the police? He lives in the state of Illinois.

If a crime is committed in someone’s home, how long is that crime scene roped off before the residents are able to move back in? Say for instance that someone breaks into your home and murders one of the people that live there, how long will other residents be kept out of the home before being allowed to move back in? What’s the window on collecting evidence? Is it indefinite depending on the crime?

United States
Day vs night
Violent vs non-violent
And other break downs
I’d like to analyze crime throughout the country, possibly by cities or states about when and where crime occurs and what type of crimes are being committed at what times?

I want to compare specifically crimes committed at night vs crimes committed during the day. Violent vs nonviolent.
Are more crimes committed during the day or at night? What about violent crimes, are more committed at night or during the day? Do you have stats to back up your answer?
